COVID-19 OSPS UPDATES
All school tours have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When schools are re-opened in a normal capacity, OSPS will reschedule tour dates at that time and advertise in this spot on the website.
School enrollments can be submitted, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school will administration will be responding and processing in the weeks after Friday 1st May.
I am proud to be the Principal of Oakleigh South Primary School. I began my association with the school as a teacher at the former Beryl Street site in 1987. The enrolment then was 109 and I have seen the school grow to approximately 1000 students. In 2000, we orchestrated the move to the school’s present site – the former Huntingdale High School. Our school is in a quiet area of Oakleigh South, with beautiful grounds nestled in between Metropolitan and Huntingdale Golf Courses.
We pride ourself in offering all students a wide range of success orientated opportunities in a safe and caring environment. We value and encourage high academic achievement with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, as a basis for all further learning, followed by developing the whole child in the areas of music, visual arts, sport and sustainability.
It was a very smooth start to the first day back of Term 2 for Prep - 2 students and we are so proud of how all the students (and parents) entered and exited the school at their staggered drop offs and pick ups. The students settled straight in and many teachers...

Officeworks ran an activity to thank your teacher during remote learning and Millie entered her thank you poster to Miss Toth. She was selected to feature on the official Office Works Website - well done Millie.
Today the OSPS facebook pages surpassed 1000 likes, may have had something to do with the fantastic staff video posted about 24 hours ago that has reached over 10,000 people! Thank you!
Year 3’s Farming Week on Zoom. This past week the year 3’s created ‘farms‘ at home and completed a variety of learning tasks to earn fruits, vegetables and animals for their farms. To finish off the week they all dressed up as farmers for their Friday Zoom session....
