During terms two and three, the Year 6 students to put their entrepreneurial hats on and worked in groups to create their very own businesses. Using the Design Thinking process, students came up with unique ideas to appeal to their peers and adults alike. Business meetings were held and businesses promoted themselves via their very own professional looking websites!

The project culminated in Business Expo day, when each business showcased their products and services to eager customers – fellow students, parent and teachers. Advertising and presentation had to be just right to entice customers to the stalls and thorough bookkeeping was necessary to track all transactions.

The Economics unit taught our Year 6s many skills they can take into the future and was a fun, hands on way to learn about the highs and lows of the business world.
