The Year 5’s went back in time and spent a day in the classroom set in the 1800’s. This was a fantastic way to end their unit of study in the Australian colonial period.

Students explored games played during that era, role playing in a 1800’s classroom setting and they also made a common toy that children enjoyed playing with.

The Year 5 students were dressed in character and staff played their role as classroom teachers of the time. Many a line such as sit up straight, requests for shoes to be polished and hair neat and tidy could be heard across the year 5 building. It was truly a very educational and fun day.
