The Year 5 students had an incursion which was facilitated by an organisation called ‘Money Talk’. They students were informed of the importance of ‘saving money’ and how to budget.
Also, they were introduced to the difference between ‘needs and wants’. They also learnt about the acronym ‘SSS’ which means to
Set a saving goal
Save money
Separate some money for savings and other money for everyday expenses.
Lastly discussion was centred around the importance of ‘safety with money’ and scams that can occur in real life experiences.
