What a blast! 🔥 153 excited Year 5 students bussed their way to their first excursion. Their day began at IMAX, home to the world’s third-largest screen. With 3D glasses on, they watched ‘Volcanoes 3D’. The students discovered molten worlds and exploding craters as they journeyed from Pompeii to the recent Kilauea eruption in Hawaii.

Next, we explored the fascinating exhibits at Melbourne Museum. From moments of curiosity to moments of wonder and escape, the students enjoyed Bugs Alive, Dynamic Earth, Forest Walk, and the 600 Million Years: Victoria Evolves.

Lunch in the gardens and spending time with new and old friends was a highlight for many and WOW! What a warm day it was…☀️😎🌳🛝

Back to IMAX to watch ‘Extreme Weather’, where we learned about how weather shapes our planet and our way of life.

A big thanks to our wonderful parent helpers and of course our dedicated Grade 5 teachers. We can’t wait to start our Natural Disaster posters and delve into our Science and Geography unit within our classrooms🌎🌪️
