The Year 5’s went back in time to the 1800’s as they ventured to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat for a 3 day camp. Dressed in traditional clothes of the era, the children spent time in a school classroom of the 1800’s and had to complete tasks such as calligraphy, sewing, reciting the times tables and addressing the teachers iwth Sir and Ma’am.
Students also panned for gold, learned about the gold mines and operations of Sovereighn Hill. A highlight doing a spot of shopping at the Candy Store.
