As part of their Integrated Studies unit, the year 4s set off to the MCG and Eureka Tower. At the MCG students got to visit the sports museum where they saw heaps of memorabilia from the Melbourne Olympics, AFL, cricket and heaps more. ‘Game On’ was everyone’s favourite, students had the opportunity to play heaps of interactive games including horse racing, surfing, basketball and they even practiced their goal kicking. Finally, the tour of the MCG was very memorable, students were lucky enough to walk onto the MCG. They got taken to the players change rooms, the MCC long room and the cricketers’ viewing room.

The last stop was the Eureka tower, which was simply breathtaking. The views from the 88th floor were amazing. Some of the famous Melbourne landmarks the children saw included Flinders Street station, Federation Square, Australia 108, Melbourne Park, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Yarra River and heaps more.

By the end of the day everyone agreed that we are very lucky to live in this wonderful city, Melbourne!
