On Sunday, November 10th, a group of our students had the honour of attending the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL’s Remembrance Day service to pay tribute to the brave men and women who served in conflicts past and present.

Representing our school at the service was our school captain Prayag, and six Student Voice members: Alisha, Winston, Matthew, and Paul. Alongside them, Tilda and Mayukh had the solemn responsibility of laying down our school’s wreath, a gesture of remembrance and gratitude. The ceremony was moving and meaningful, as families, veterans, and community members gathered in unity to honour the fallen.

The day was a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals for the peace and freedoms we enjoy today. Our Student Voice members and school captain, alongside their families, were proud to take part in this important event, demonstrating the school’s commitment to remembering and respecting the service of others.

Thank you for showing the importance of pausing to reflect on the past in order to appreciate the present.
