Two members from the St.Kilda football club visited OSPS to talk to the Year six children about one of their successful ‘connecting with schools’ programs. The ‘Play to Your Strengths’ program is aimed at helping kids discover and work to their individual character strengths. It celebrates differences and helps kids overcome problems, improve their relationships and get a greater sense of wellbeing.
The children were encouraged to focus on their strengths in a positive and fun way and to recognise the character strengths of their friends and classmates. Through interactive exercises, the students learnt about the 24 universal strengths and the way they can draw on these in all aspects of their life.
