There’s been an explosion of creativity in the online world due to Getty museum’s challenge for people in isolation to reimage well-known works of art.
Our OSPS students have added their own twist on the ‘Recreate a Masterpiece’ challenge with some amazing and amusing results.
There were many different famous artists replicated by our talented families including Pablo Picasso, Edvard Munch, Claude Monet, Frida Kahlo, Paul Cezanne, Michelangelo and Banksy.
The most popular painting recreated by the boys was ‘The Son of Man’ by Rene Magritte, and great sibling teamwork was displayed when reproducing the Grant Wood ‘American Gothic’. The girls were drawn to ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ by Vermeer and Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. All wonderful choices.
