OSPS Footy Colours Day is normally a much anticipated event on our school calendar. This year, we will be celebrating remotely and we are encouraging all students on Friday 17th September to dress up in the colours of their favourite sports team. It doesn’t have to be AFL. Last year we saw a variety of sports and teams represented. Basketball, soccer, hockey, netball, rugby and baseball were just some and it was great to see both elite and local sports teams represented.
We will be raising money again for the Fight Cancer Foundation who are incredibly grateful for the support that they have received from OSPS over the last couple of years. We are encouraging everyone to donate. Normally we ask for a gold coin donation and this year is no different but you are more than welcome to donate more if you wish. Last year we raised $1882 and our goal is to do that again. https://footy-colours-day-2021.raisely.com/oakleighsouthp…
On Friday, we encourage all students and staff to post a picture of themselves in their team colours on a special Footy Week Padlet. From Monday, we are also encouraging students and staff to post a video of themselves either kicking a goal or doing something cool from their specific sport. It might be a basketball 3 pointer or maybe even a soccer crossbar challenge. It’s up to you!
Let’s see what skills OSPS can do! https://padlet.com/nicholasmorrey/3wtd0xrln1gxyqif
It should be a great week and I look forward to seeing the donations page and padlet fill up!
