Oakleigh South Primary School has successfully applied for a grant from the Department of Education and Training to employ a Local Native-speaker Language Assistant in 2022. The Local Native-speaker Language Assistants Program (LNLAP) places local native-like speakers of Japanese in selected Victorian government schools to enrich their provision of languages education over the course of one academic year.
The LNLAP initiative presents a wonderful opportunity for students to expand their language learning and interest in the program from schools has been high. We are now seeking the help of our community to identify potential candidates to fill this role in 2022.
