The Oakleigh South Girls Footy team traveled to King George Park to play for a spot in the State Championships. In just our second year with a girls team it was a tremendous effort to make it this far and the whole team acquitted themselves admirably.

On the day the girls managed to win 2 games and narrowly lose the third to the team who eventually qualified for State. A fantastic effort by all involved; the progress we have seen in 12 months is incredible and we are very excited about the prospect of going one step further next year.

A great team effort all round, with special mentions to Teona who led from the front all day, and Maya who showed great courage and grit after suffering an injury. Congratulations girls, you should be proud!
