Victorian Government Announcement:
‘Congratulations to the 2020 Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grant recipients.
The Victorian Government has announced $409,500 in funding to support 113 projects through the 2020 Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grants, delivered in partnership with Landcare Australia.
Grants of up to $5,000 each are supporting Victorian primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, pre-schools, childcare centres, and youth groups.
Funded projects are helping the next generation of Landcarers to protect biodiversity through on-ground action that improve and restore habitat for Victoria’s native plants and animals. Projects include activities that provide both environmental and educational outcomes, along with health and social benefits.
Grant recipients will be completing their projects by mid-May 2021 and we look forward to seeing the educational, environmental and social outcomes.’
Our village project is to create a special native habitat at school.
Are you able to guess which creature (amongst many) we are hoping to attract and provide for in our village and school?
