We are excited to announce that our annual whole school dress up day for Book Week will be held on Friday, the 23rd of August. This year’s theme is ‘Reading is Magic’.
Students are encouraged to embrace the magic of reading by dressing up as characters that embodies the theme ‘Reading is Magic’ or as their favourite character from any book. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to express their creativity and celebrate their love for reading. The students are asked to bring in a gold coin donation on the day which will go towards funding the author guest speaker and purchasing new books for the library.
Like last year, Junior school students will have their parade at 9am in the hall and Senior school students will partake in their parade at 9:50. Parents are welcome to attend these parades.
There will be a variety of book related activities happening throughout the week as well as author guest speaker Adam Wallace will be visiting our school on Monday, 26th August. Adam is a well-loved children’s author known for his engaging and humorous books, and we’re excited for our students to meet him.
Parents have the opportunity to purchase Adam Wallace’s books through www.lamontauthors.com.au and select “Buy our Author’s Books”.
All orders must be completed by 12th August to receive the books to be signed during Adam’s visit.
We look forward to seeing the magical and imaginative costumes that our students will come up with. Thank you for your support in making Book Week a memorable event for everyone!
