This year our Sustainability Captains have worked hard to complete a number of actions to promote Sustainability across our school, including Clean up Australia Day, 10c plastic recycling, wrapped free lunch days and educating their peers about our local wildlife. Naomi Ryan, Biodiversity and Recycling Educator from Monash Council, who is also a past student of Oakleigh South Primary School, presented our Sustainability Captains with a certificate and award for their awesome efforts this year.
Earlier this year, Naomi Ryan also worked with the year 3 students to teach them about the importance of reducing, reusing, recycling, and correct rubbish disposal to ensure we keep our environment healthy for the future. Thank you to Naomi and Monash Council for working with our school this year.
