On Tuesday 6th August, our Year 5 students at Oakleigh South Primary School took part in a full-day cultural immersion experience run by Cultural Infusion. The incursion was a rich and engaging exploration of Aboriginal culture, history and storytelling.

Throughout the day, students participated in:
🖌 Symbolic Aboriginal Art
🎵 Didgeridoo playing and cultural history
🎭 Face painting
📖 Traditional storytelling
🎉 A celebration of learning through art and performance

One student reflected:
“Listening to the didgeridoo sounded like the ocean – just like when you hold a shell to your ear.” 🌊🎶

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the world’s oldest continuous culture.

A big thank you to the Cultural Infusion team for bringing such energy and knowledge to our school!
