PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

At this week’s assembly, we had a special presentation from The Links Woolworths store. They announced that out of 16 schools in their area, our school had collected the most stickers during last year’s Earn and Learn Program.

The children were shown some if the items that their teachers selected with the reward points. I’m pleased to say that the wonderful resources that we have selected have arrived and will be put into the classrooms for the children to use.

Thank you to all the families that collected stickers to make these resources available to our children.

Recently we have had staff cars damaged in the school car park due to unauthorised vehicles accessing the car park. I’d like to remind you that no parents are allowed to park in the staff car park at any time. The oval carpark and streets are available for you to park and walk your children to and from school. Please remember not to block other parents in and be patient as you leave the car park each day. Thank you

Have a great weekend

Ron Cantlon
Principal

Library News – Book Review

TITLE – DRAGONFLY

AUTHOR – JULIA GOLDING

AR LEVEL – 6.1 (15.0 points)

Dragonfly is about a girl called Taoshira (Tashi) and Prince Ramil. They are forced to marry to unite their countries, but they loathe each other.

While horse-riding they are kidnapped and taken across the border.

Will something change between them? Read this book and you will find out.

An extraordinary adventure through time, two people desperate to save their countries from war.

I would recommend this book for years 4, 5 and 6. A thrilling read. You must read this book!

VALUED STUDENT

STUDENT SHOWCASE

Welcome to our 2018 Preps

The first day of school is a much anticipated day for all Preps and their famiies. It’s a day to meet their new friends and teachers along with getting to know the school. Students were crowned and awarded to celebrate such a special day!

Students celebrated the letter “S” with Silly Sock Day and wore their silliest socks to school! There were stripes, spots, polka dots all throughout the Prep Corridor. Even the teachers pulled out their patterned socks for this fun day!

Another highlight for the befinning of Prep has been meeting our Grade 4 buddies! It is a special and exciting time for hte Preps, as they get to meet role models and make new friends. Over the next few years these buddy friendships will grow and teach students new things about one another.

WOW! That has only been 5 weeks in Prep! Can you imagine what else is in stall for the rest of the year?
