PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
This afternoon we will be welcoming the first half of our 2019 Prep children to our Transition program. This is an exciting time as our new preps visit the prep classrooms and take part in a number of rotational activities. During this time, there will be an information session for the parents and carers in the main music room. Next Friday the second half will attend their session. Both of these groups will return for a second session in November.
Last Thursday, we had many students competing in the SMR Athletics Carnival. Every child competed very well with three of our relay teams qualifying for the state championships. Ori D also qualified for three individual events. The state championships will be held on Monday. Good luck to everyone.
The time, effort and dedication that each of these children have shown to get themselves to this level is outstanding. Thank you to the staff who have contributed to the training of these children during recess and lunch.
Enjoy the weekend.
Ron Cantlon
Principal
P.S Don’t forget to register your child online for the Colour Run using the links below. Children call collect online donations and cash donations.

STUDENT SHOWCASE
Prep Teddy Bear Sleepover
On Thursday the 18th of October the Prep children brought their teddy bears to school for their annual Teddy Bear Sleepover. The children made sure their teddies were tucked into their beds and fast asleep before they went home.
The next morning when we walked into our classrooms, we couldn’t believe our eyes! The teddies had a huge party at school! We were all so shocked and surprised at what the bears had got up to. Some bears were flying on our classroom fans while others were having a bath in the sink! Some teddies even escaped and went to the staffroom, Mr Cantlon’s office and the sick bay. Those naughty bears!
