The last week of term has been all systems go as the Year 6 production began on Monday with a sensational opening night. The wonderful performances continued on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to crowds that couldn’t believe their eyes. The professionalism of the productions are a credit to everyone involved, the children teachers and parents who all helped to make ‘Seussical Jr’ an outstanding show. A huge thank you to everyone who helped from start to finish.
Last Thursday the Preps and Year 1 classes celebrated the many wonderful cultures of our school during their Multicultural Day. The children and teachers dressed in their national dress and brought lots and lots of scrumptious food from their countries (thank you to the mums, dads and grandparents for an amazing selection of food). Everyone had a fantastic day.
Finally it’s hard to believe that we have reached the end of term 3. Remember to keep on reading and do your Mathletics and Reading Eggs whenever you can. Have a restful break whether you are at home or away on holidays.
Have fun and stay safe.

Multiple fun on Multicultural Day!
On Thursday 13th September the Preps and Year 1’s celebrated cultural diversity within our classes and the world. Student’s dressed up in traditional costumes or colours that represented a country’s flag. The day began in the hall with a special Bollywood dance performance by some of our talented junior school students. Afterwards each class paraded around, waving their country’s flag and dancing to Mr Savva’s songs from around the world! This was a fantastic opportunity for classes to show off their outfits! The hall looked like a colour explosion with students representing over 30 different countries, including Greece, Australia, Italy, France, India and China to name a few!
Later in the day the Year 1’s indulged in traditional cuisines. Every student was required to bring in a small dish from their chosen country. This enabled us to taste a variety of traditional and customary foods! Students stepped out of their comfort zones to try new foods such as homemade Keftedakia and Spanakopita from Greece, dumplings and moon cake from China, samosas and pappadums from India, piroshky from Ukraine and pavlova from New Zealand.
Students learnt a lot about their chosen countries. They have enjoyed follow up activities that have expressed their excitement and great memories of the day. A huge thank you to all students and their families for the magnificent effort put into costumes and food dishes.
