The Department of Education (DET) conducts reviews of schools every 4 years. This rigorous process is conducted by a DET appointed reviewer who consults with all stake holders to help determine the school’s needs and how to meet these over the following 4 year period. The result of this is the development of the School Strategic Plan (SSP).
Every four years, schools undertake a Pre-review Self-evaluation (PRSE) process in the term before their review. As part of this process, it is important that all members of the school community are provided with the opportunity to contribute to a shared understanding how well the school has performed over the last 4 years. We will be inviting the community to participate in a forum to discuss the school’s performance and its future directions. To support our community who may not be able to attend, we encourage you to contribute through our whole school questionnaire.
If there are any parents who took photos of our students at District Athletics, could you please email copies to Nikki Virtuoso? We had such a successful day, but have no photos.
A quick update on the robotics lab for everyone. The concrete has been delayed due to the bad weather of late. The delivery and the installation for the building is still on track for the next school holidays.
Have a fantastic week.

SUPERVISION AND PARKING
A reminder to parents and carers are NOT to use the Staff Car Park, or the disabled parks, regardless of the time of day. It is NOT to be used as a quick drop off or collection point.
This includes after Choir on a Wednesday
Please make sure you do your civic duty to follow the road laws and rules. This includes parking correctly in the signed areas, and completing 3 point turns in the middle in the intersection!
We also urge parents to please remember to be patient and polite when using the Oval Carpark, and be good role models for all the children witnessing their behaviour. With over 800 families, drop off and collection times will be busy and you will need to plan your time accordingly.
Please click here for further parking information oakleighsouthps.vic.edu.au/about-us/#parking
Yard duty before school commences at 8:45 am.
After school teachers are in the grounds until 3:45 pm. Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised (unless they attending a before or after school care program or supervised extracurricular activity).
Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not arrive early or stay late after school unless they are attending before or after school care, or a pre-arranged supervised activity (i.e. running club).

CYC – The Island (Camp Poem)
The colossal sky blue anchor.
The clash between old and new.
The terrifying thrills of the Giant Swing.
The ear-piercing groan of the Mechanical Wall.
The burning of the legs on the pedal karts.
The noisy marine themed dining hall.
The stunning feats of the talent show.
The crowded and art filled rec room.
The adorable waddle of the penguins.
The scenic greenery of Phillip Island.
The strange but beautifully designed houses.
The haunting blindness of the blackout.
The high-flying kids on the trampolines.
The messy but somewhat cosy cabins.
Done in three days; remembered forever.
