PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

What a sight last Thursday and Friday seeing the Year 4 students perform their musical, ‘Pirates Past Noon’! After the disappointment of not being able to perform to their families, the children gave their all and produced wonderful performances on both days.

From the colour of the costumes to the incredible acting and singing, it was well worth the wait as we navigated through the COVID landscape. The children’s smiles told the story, they should be very proud of themselves.

Thank you to the parents who sent notes of appreciation for allowing the show to go on (under different circumstances). When the recording of the shows is available, you will be notified.

As we return to a kind of normality at school, I would like to thank the parent community for your continued support of the rules that are in place now. Saying goodbye to your children at the gate (especially the younger ones) can be difficult, however it is encouraging to see their resilience as they proudly walk in alone to start their day at school. Although we would prefer to have the parents onsite to assist the children with their morning reading program, I know these times are helping to build strong and independent children.

Congratulations to all the children who performed in today’s House Athletic Carnival. I’m sure the Olympic Games have inspired the children to push themselves that little bit harder. The children who qualified will now go on and train for the District Athletics Carnival.

Have a wonderful week.

CAMP AUSTRALIA

At Camp Australia, children are at the heart of everything we do. We provide tailored enrichment programs to children before school, after school and in their school holidays. Our engaged educators foster a safe, inclusive environment where children can learn, have fun and connect.

At OSHC, we tailor every program to the likes and interests of each child in our service. Our educators design enriching experiences to develop children’s confidence, curiosity and resilience. In any one week, they could be participating in science experiments, active play, creative expression and more – we believe in the power of learning through experience.
