PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
The last week of term is a hive of activity with parent teacher meetings, house athletics and the famous Fairy Tale Dress Up day. A huge thank you to all the parents who have attended these special events to support their children. I know the children love having you with them to celebrate these times together.
Last Friday the Year 6 children had their annual Trivia Night. It was a night full of fun for the children as they had never been to an event like this before. The children had a ball finishing the night with a disco!
Thank you to the staff and parents who went to an amazing effort to organise such a fantastic night for the children and to all staff who make all of our special events fantastic.
I wish you all a safe and restful holiday. See you all back for the start of term 3 on Monday 16th July.
Ron
Principal

Lost Property

As of June 6th some of the older versions of the Qkr app will no longer work, and families must update their app. Most people have auto update enabled in their phone settings so this will happen seamlessly for them. If you have any parents saying the app has stopped working, they simply have to download the current version from the app store. We can track who is using a new version and the overwhelming majority of Qkr users have already updated, so the number of impacted families should be very very small, but you may get a few over the coming weeks, especially the infrequent users of Qkr.
And if they still have any issues, there is always the website to offer as a backup to people with really old phones that may not be able to upgrade.

Dear parent,
These school holidays we are hosting a very special school holiday program called Code Camp where your child can learn to code and build their very own iPhone or Android app!
Code Camp has already taught more than 35,000 students in Australia and is a great way to spend time over the holidays as kids have lots of fun with friends while learning important new skills such as logic, creativity, problem solving, app development and game building in a fun and engaging way, ready to take on the digital world of the future.
Every child attending a holiday camp will build incredible games on our software platform ‘’Code Camp World’’ and walk away with their very own app, playable via the Code Camp App store that they can take home to share with family and friends!
Here is the code camp we’re running:
Spark (School Grades 2-6)
Beginners + Intermediate
Fun, engaging and challenging… and are our most known Code Camp that over 12,000 students have completed. Code Camp Spark is where every student in years 2-6 should start their Code Camp journey.

STUDENT SHOWCASE

The Knight at Dawn – Kids
Next term the year 4 students will be performing the musical ‘The Knight at Dawn-Kids’. We have been rehearsing extremely hard; learning the songs, dances and all about stage presence and movement.
The story of ‘The Knight at Dawn’ centres around two siblings, Jack and Annie, who discover a magic tree house. As they read a book about knights and the middle ages, Annie is intrigued by the Black Knight and the mysterious quest one must successfully complete before becoming a knight. When she wishes to visit the castle in the book, the siblings are whisked away to medieval times. They set off to learn more about the Black Knight and his quest, experiencing a grand medieval feast, escaping through secret tunnels and dancing with enchanted suits of armour, all in an effort to find their way back home.
Rehearsals have been fun and the year 4’s are putting in an amazing effort to ensure this production is spectacular. The shows will be held on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th July (week 2 of Term 3).
Tickets are now on sale through TryBooking.
