PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

On Monday, the whole school staff engaged in professional learning centred on assessment and reporting in readiness for writing the children’s end of year reports. The teachers updated report databases at each year level, wrote content descriptions, and wrote the children’s personal comments.

Next we had Isobel McLennan, and Education Improvement leader from the Inner East region to speak to the staff about ‘I can’ statements and the Victorian Curriculum Capabilities which was very informative. The day’s professional learning will certainly help all teachers in understanding the Victorian Curriculum even better and to be able to make accurate judgements when reporting to parents about their children.

We have a break from the Prep transition program this week but the 2018 Preps will be back next Friday for their second visit.

Enjoy the sunny weekend.

Ron Cantlon
Principal
