This afternoon the Year 6 production of Peter Pan Jnr opened with a wonderful matinee performance. It was great to see many of our younger students and siblings enjoying the show, which showcased our amazing year 6 students performing at such a high standard. The costumes were once again amazing and the acting and singing was fantastic. We are all looking forward to the three performances next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Last Friday we had 47 children compete at the Beachside Division Athletics Carnival at Albert Park. Their dedication and determination in training for their events has certainly paid off with many of our children qualifying for the Regional Athletics Carnival to be held on Thursday October 19th. Congratulations to every child who represented our school and performed at their best.
Yesterday one of our new portables was delivered and installed at the school. The second is due to arrive on Monday. These rooms will provide the extra classrooms needed for our growing school.

This year I’ve played softball in five international tournaments for Australia – Sydney, Toyota (Japan), Oklahoma (USA), Surrey (Canada) and Takasaki (Japan).
In Oklahoma we finished fourth, in Canada we finished 2nd and most recently we received a bronze medal in Takasaki, Japan. After completing all of these tournaments, we are currently ranked 3rd in the world, after Japan and USA.
In January next year, the Australian squad will be reselected for some international events early next year. Japan will be hosting the World Championships in August, which will be the major event to qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
